Topic: Saffron buns

I have tried to make saffron buns about three times, once using the bread machine to make the doe then cooking in the oven and twice I have made them by hand but the results are the same. I cannot get them to rise, they turn out like rocks and unedible sad HELP

What sort of yeast are you using and are you giving the dough enough time to prove? Sometimes dough can take a few hours to rise if the room is cool and you should always let it double in size on the first rise and then again on the second rising before baking.

Thanks I will try to be a little more patient smile I think I might of only let the rise for about half an hour.
