Topic: Primary School Baking Club
I run a baking club at Primary School level with children aged 8-10 I can only take 4 children as it is after school and we only have one oven. The children enjoy getting their hands into the ingredients and all the different textures and the weighing element helps them with their maths work. I run a 6 week block for 2 hours once a week and the last week we always make cupcakes and buttercream ice them, decorate them and put them into fancy boxes for the children to take home. My only gripe is that it is difficult to get nice decorations (glitter,flowers etc) on the tight budget we have and nearly every internet site charges postage and packaging local shops dont have a huge choice is there any sites that have reasonable prices with free postage and packaging that I could purchase for the children.
