Topic: 18 month old party food ideas?
Has anyone got any nice ideas what I could bake for a children's party as they're all of a similar age?? Thanks

How about some mini pineapple and raisin muffins? I made them for one of my little girls' parties and they went down a treat.
The other thing you could do - depending on how many little people you've got for the party (and how much mess you can put up with!) - is you could prepare some pizza dough and then help them make their own pizzas.

I like to make loads of little fairy cakes and then let the children loose with silver balls, smarties, dolly mixtures and icing. Messy but great fun.

Much the same as Hollymimamama...why not make sugar cookies or gingerbread men. They can then be decorated anyway the kids fancy. Jelly tots for eyes and chocolate button smiles..

How about some homemade sausage rolls, so easy with bought puff pastry, and their favourite sausages, then you cut them up into tiny pieces. Can be made ahead and frozen. Or mini burgers with homemade mini burgers (from minced beef) and home made mini rolls, also easy using the Allinson bread mix.

you can make fairy cakes and cookies, small things but quite easy.

HI a good thing to make with little ones, cheese straws, or marmite straws hotdog sausages in puff pastry like little sausauge rolls. Fresh fruit cut in to small bits, little muffins or cakes but smaller size then usual as the donot seem to eat bigger ones.Jelly pots with fruit in bottom. Have a great party.

Always a winner..... bite size veg and fruit incl dried fruit, ..... remember kids like food they can recognise.
for a bit of Mary Poppins style magic... put a drop of different coloured food colouring in the bottom of separate paper cups prior to the party, then in front of the children , pour clear lemonade into the cups and wait for the exclamations as each drink becomes a diffrent colour!

@18mths old, the party food should be thrown!
