Topic: vegetables in baking

My grand daughter wont eat veg does any one have idea's  for putting veg in biscuits or cakes.

Re: vegetables in baking

I don't know about biscuits or cakes. Have you tried things like bolognaise sauce with pureed veg, she'll never know. If you have a stick blender this makes life alot easier as you can whiz the whole lot together. If you use veg like courgettes, carrots, sweetcorn, thay seem to go down well with fussy eaters as they don't taste very strong. Unlike say leeks, peppers, squash.
Good luck!!

Re: vegetables in baking

You can of course put veggies in cakes, carrots courgettes and beetroot spring to mind.  I also put grated carrots and courgettes into bolognaise, chilli etc, but I don't hide it.
How old is your granddaughter? You can also make pancakes with sweetcorn in them.

MariaC  I bet she will know  tut tut utt I don't eat vegetables and I know, because I don't eat veg, well potato and swede, but anyone tries to give me any I know.  I was in a cafe once and I asked for a Ham and Tomato bap, it came it looked lovely til I took my first bite Onion, I could taste it, none on my bap either, what had happened the knife she used to cut my bap in half had been used to chop onions. I didn't eat it and still don't, why give someone something to eat that they don't like just because everyone is suppose to eat vegetables.  My guess is leave the grand daughter alone she will probably come round. I was forced to eat vegetables, and I don't touch them now I am grown up. I think if I had been left alone, I would probably eating them.

Hi dear,

Some vegetables such as pumpkin, carrot, and broccoli are use in some kind of cakes and bread. You can provide these cakes and bread to your daughter.
