Mary berry refers to baking spread is this the same as marg stork and all the others
and is it as good as butter

Yes, stork is fine and she is basically referring to margarine that specifically says it can be used for baking. Always check the pack as some margarines especially the light margarines  contain too much water and so cannot be used for baking. Best wishes from the Bakingmad kitchen

I tend to use Flora or Flora Buttery for my baking and it works great smile
