Topic: Vin Santo

Hi Guy's,
My new ice cream recipe demands soaking Raisins in Vin Santo (Italian dessert wine) overnight.
Unfortunately I can't get it or a substitute, can anyone help.
I will pass on the recipe to you all if it turns out nice.

What about Marsala wine? or vermouth like Martini Rosso?  or go traditional rum and raisin wink

Hi Thank you for the reply.
I am not a wine drinker so I did not know what I was dealing with, however, you have put me right, I think I will try Rum in one mix and Martini Rossi in another.
Many thanks I will pass on the recipe after I have made and tried it, don't want to sent any rubbish.

I really wouldn't worry about this. Just use any sweet wine. Nobody will notice any difference.
