Topic: Bread making using a Dough hook or Magimix

Hello, i have a old Kenwood chef A701A which i'm thinking of buying a dough hook for, does anyone use an old mixer with a dough hook, i don't want to burn the motor out,I have a Panasonic bread maker which i don't like i have used it about 6 times and can't get the bread to rise properly i'm not sure if its a malfunction in the bread maker or its me lol, think i might sell it and buy a new mixer, or does anyone make thier dough in a Magimix i have the 4200xl any advise please would be greatly received,

Yes, you can use a dough hook, but you need a fairly powerful mixer - more than the typical 120 - 300 watt hand-held mixer (I'm not familiar with either of the models you mentioned).

I suggest you check the vendor's website to make sure the mixer is suitable for mixing dough.
