Silver Spoon Cakecraft Black Food Colour
100 grams Silver Spoon Cakecraft Ready Rolled White Icing
Silver Spoon Cakecraft Red Food Colour
2 Askeys 21 Cornets
Silver Spoon Cakecraft Black Designer Icing
Silver Spoon Cakecraft Silver Balls
Askeys Ice Cream Wafers

How to make Askeys Rocket

  1. Colour a little ball of the icing with red food colouring to make a deep pink ( you can always paint the cone of the rocket red when complete – or use red sugar paste or concentrated paste food colouring from cake decorating suppliers)
  2. Colour the remaining icing with the blue colouring.
  3. Dust the worksurface with icing sugar and roll half the blue icing into a circle about 18cm. Wrap it around the ice cream cone and using a knife trim off the edges where it overlaps. Mould the icing to cover the cone tightly. Re roll the trimmings and the remaining icing to make a second cone
  4. Use black decorating icing to pipe the lines and viewing windows. Cut an Askeys wafer into 2 triangles and place either side of the cone. Decorate with silver balls.
