Tea Biscuits Ingredients

200 grams Unsalted Butter softend
200 grams Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
1 Happy Eggs lightly beaten Happy Eggs
400 grams Plain White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly) Plain White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly)

How to make Tea Biscuits

  1. Line two baking sheets with baking parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar, preferable with an electric whisk, until light and creamy. Add the egg and stir until well combined. Add the flour and mix at a low speed until a dough is formed. Gather the dough and wrap in cling film. Chill for 20 minutes. method tip
  3. Roll the dough onto a lightly floured surface and cut out using templates or cookie cutters. Chill for a further 10 minutes. method tip
  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan oven 160°C/350°F/Gas 4. Bake 8-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Leave to cool before starting to decorate. method tip
