150 grams Butter
75 grams Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
300 grams Plain White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly) Plain White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly)

How to make Vanilla Star Biscuits

  1. For the biscuits: heat the oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4. Line 2 baking trays with non-stick baking paper. method tip
  2. Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl until creamy. Add the flour and mix to a soft dough. Wrap in clingfilm and chill for 30 minutes. method tip
  3. Roll out the dough 5mm|1/4\" thick on a surface dusted with a little flour. Cut out 40 stars. Place on the baking trays and bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove and cool on a wire rack. method tip
  4. For the decoration: melt the white chocolate and drizzle over the top of the stars. Leave to set. method tip
