175 grams Plain Wholemeal Flour (Allinson) Plain Wholemeal Flour (Allinson)
150 grams Golden Granulated Sugar (Billington's) Golden Granulated Sugar (Billington's)
25 grams Cocoa Powder Sieved
1 Teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 Teaspoon baking powder
115 grams Salted butter Melted
2 Happy Eggs (Large Eggs) Lightly beaten Happy Eggs (Large Eggs)
275 grams Very ripe bananas Mashed
100 grams Dark Chocolate (Silver Spoon Create) Cut into small chunks Dark Chocolate (Silver Spoon Create)

How to make Chocolate & Banana Tea Loaf

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C, 170°C fan, Gas 5 method tip
  2. Line a 900g (2lb) loaf tin with baking paper.
  3. Mix the Allinson Wholemeal Plain Flour, Billington’s unrefined golden granulated sugar, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder in a bowl
  4. In another bowl mix the butter, eggs, bananas and chocolate together.
  5. Fold the banana mixture well into the dry ingredients and place the mixture into the prepared loaf tin.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour method tip
  7. Cool in the tin and serve sliced. method tip
