Old Fashioned Walnut Tea Bread Ingredients

75 grams All Bran
125 grams Dark Muscovado (Billington's) Dark Muscovado (Billington's)
25 grams Mixed Dried Fruit
25 grams Walnuts Chopped
125 ml Tea Strong
75 grams Plain Wholemeal Flour (Allinson) Plain Wholemeal Flour (Allinson)
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Mixed Spice
1 Free Range Eggs Free Range Eggs

How to make Old Fashioned Walnut Tea Bread

  1. Grease and base line a 1 lb loaf tin. Preheat the oven to 180°C/ fan 170°C/Gas 4. method tip
  2. Place the All Bran, sugar, fruits, nuts and tea into a mixing bowl. Stir well and allow to stand for 30 minutes.
  3. Mix in the flour, baking powder, spice and egg.
  4. Transfer to the prepared loaf tin.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for around 40 minutes. method tip
  6. Cool before turning out. Serve in slices with butter.
