  1. Cream together fat and sugar, add essence. Mix into flour gradually. Form into walnut size balls. method tip
  2. Place on greased baking tray, flatten tops with a fork dipped in flour.
  3. Place small pieces of cherry on top.
  4. Bake Gas Mark 5 /190°C for 10 minutes or until golden. method tip
  5. Dust with icing sugar if desired.
