Quick Lamb Goulash Ingredients

900 grams Lamb stewing
25 grams Butter
2 tsp Papaya
3 Onion chopped
2 Cloves of Garlic chopped
425 grams Tomatoes
3 tbsp Tomato Puree
2 tbsp Dark Muscovado Sugar (Billington's) Dark Muscovado Sugar (Billington's)
1 tsp Salt
300 ml Natural Yoghurt or sour cream
pinch Fresh Rosemary (optional)

How to make Quick Lamb Goulash

  1. Cut the lamb into 2.5cm / 1 inch cubes. Melt the butter in a pan and add the paprika, onions and garlic. Add the lamb and stir over a low heat until the meat has browned. Add the tomatoes, puree, sugar, salt and rosemary, cover and simmergently for 2 hours until the meat is tender.
  2. Just before serving, cool slightly then stir in the yoghurt or sour cream off the heat and stir well.
  3. Serve with rice, noodles or jacket potatoes and green salad.
