Devonshire Splits Ingredients

250 grams	Plain White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly)
250 grams	Very Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson)
1 tsp	Salt
3 tbsp	Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
60 ml	Butter melted
3 tbsp	Water warm
260 ml	Milk
1 sachet	Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet
1	Egg Wash

How to make Devonshire Splits

Put the flours, salt, sugar and yeast into a bowl.
Mix to a soft dough with the butter, water and milk.
Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes.
Divide the dough into 10 and shape each piece into a flat round bun.
Place the buns on a greased baking sheet and cover with a tea towel.
Leave to prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6
Brush with egg wash and bake in an oven for 15-20 minutes until golden.
