Rustic Prune & Pecan Bread Ingredients

150 grams Country Grain Bread Flour (Allinson) Country Grain Bread Flour (Allinson)
300 grams Very Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson) Very Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson)
75 grams Chopped Prunes
50 grams Chopped Pecan Nuts
1.25 tsp Salt
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
1 tbsp Runny Honey
2 tbsp Sunflower Oil
315 ml Water warm

  • Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)

How to make Rustic Prune & Pecan Bread

  1. Put the flour, prunes, pecan nuts, salt and yeast into a bowl and mix to a soft dough with the honey, oil and water. method tip
  2. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. method tip
  3. Shape as desired and put into an appropriate greased tin. method tip
  4. Leave to prove until double in size. Preheated the oven to 220°C/fan 200°C/Gas Mark 7 method tip
  5. Place in an oven and immediately turn the oven down to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes. method tip
  7. Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
