Courgette and Cheese Plait Ingredients

170 ml Warm Water warm
4 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tbsp Runny Honey
1.50 tsp Salt
1.50 tsp Mustard Powder
100 grams Cougettes diced
100 grams Cheddar Cheese grated
450 grams Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson) Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson)
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
Grated Cheese a little extra
Finely Diced Courgette a little extra

How to make Courgette and Cheese Plait

  1. Put the flour, salt, mustard, cheese, courgettes and yeast into a bowl.
  2. Mix to a soft dough with the oil, honey and water.
  3. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. method tip
  4. Divide the dough into 3 pieces and roll each piece into long strands.
  5. Join the strands at one end and plait together, folding the ends under.
  6. Place onto a greased baking sheet and leave to prove slowly until double in size. Preheated to 220°C/fan 200°C/Gas Mark 7 method tip
  7. Top with more courgette and grated cheese and bake in an oven and immediately turn the heat down to 200°/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6. method tip
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes. method tip
