San Francisco Sourdough Style Bread Ingredients

125 ml Water
125 ml Natural Yoghurt
200 grams Very Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson) Very Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson)
200 grams Very Strong Wholemeal Bread Flour (Allinson) Very Strong Wholemeal Bread Flour (Allinson)
50 grams Rye Flour
50 grams Honey
1.25 tsp Sea Salt
1.25 tsp Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)

How to make San Francisco Sourdough Style Bread

  1. Place all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix to make a soft, smooth dough. Knead for 5 minutes in an electric mixer, or for 10 minutes by hand until the dough is elastic. method tip
  2. Shape the dough into a circle, cut one line down the middle and 4 lines off this on each side.
  3. Place onto a greased baking sheet and leave to prove until double in size. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5
  4. Bake for 30 minutes. method tip
