Can I Freeze Bread Dough?

Can I Freeze Bread Dough?

  • To freeze bread doughs always use dried active yeast and double the amount. Do no freeze doughs made with Easy Bake yeast.

  • You can freeze bread dough after mixing and kneading,  allow it to defrost at room temperature and that will be the same as a first proving.

  • If the bread dough has been  risen and shaped it can also be frozen, allow to defrost in the fridge, then bake.

  • Always cover the dough with a thick freezer bag, or double bag it.
