About the bake

Our Edible Cookie Dough recipe is a very simple thing to make. Once you make the dough the possibilities are endless, eat it with ice cream, sprinkle it with marshmallows or warm it up in the microwave for a few minutes. Make sure to heat treat your flour which will make it safe for raw consumption.

Method

  1. Step 1:

Use a mixer to beat together the butter and the sugar. If you don't have a mixer an ordinary hand whisk will work the same.

  2. Step 2:

Add the vanilla extract and the heat treated flour. Mix together until the mixtures resembles breadcrumbs.

    How to Heat Treat Flour

Heat treating flour ensures it is safe for raw consumption. There are 2 simple ways to do this:

    1. Microwaved flour on high for 1 minute and 15 seconds,  stirring the flour after each 15 second interval.  The stirring is important to make sure that it all heats evenly.

    2. Add flour to a dry skillet and toast untill it is a nutty brown colour.

  3. Step 3:

Add in the chocolate chips and slowly stir in the milk until it forms a dough. Serve and enjoy!

  4. Step 4:

For different flavours why not stir in peanut butter (We like Proper Nutty) or add sprinkles and marshmallows for a unicorn food inspired look. This dough is also delicious with caramel sauce and a sprinkle of sea salt.
