Looking for a quick cake fix for one? Make in a mug this recipe is so easy to make and it tastes great served with whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream. Our chocolaty Peanut Butter Mug Cake is made in the microwave and can be ready to eat in a few minutes. Be sure to let this cake cool in the mug after microwaving because it will be very hot. Not a fan of chocolate? simply leave out the chocolate squares at the beginning of the recipe.

Method

  1. Step 1:

    You will need to use a microwavable mug and 800W microwave for this recipe.

  2. Step 2:

    Place the butter and chocolate squares in the mug and melt together for 30 seconds,then give the mixture a stir.

  3. Step 3:

    Add in the other ingredients and mix together using a spoon or fork until the mixture become a chocolate brown, smooth consistency.

  4. Step 4:

    Microwave the mixture for 1 minute 30 at 800W. Keep an eye on the cake in case it spills out of the mug.

  5. Step 5:

    Serve warm, drizzled in chocolate sauce or topped with whipped cream or ice cream.

  • For the Mug Cake

    • 30g Butter (unsalted) ((1cm slice))
    • 30g Dark chocolate (6 squares)
    • 2 tsp Peanut butter (smooth)
    • 1 Egg(s) (free range)
    • 1.5 tbsp Billington's Unrefined Dark Muscovado Sugar
    • 5 tbsp Allinson's Self Raising Flour
  • For the Topping

    •  Whipped cream
