About the bake

Herbs and olives are the perfect ingredient to add into bread to give it a seasoned, deep taste. Our Olive and Herb bread promises to taste delicious, and with the help of your bread maker, you'll be serving up warm homemade bread to your guests in no time.

What are the benefits of a bread maker?

A bread maker is very easy to use, and usually comes with a manual in the box. Keep this safe as each bread maker may have different measurements to use.

The key to a great bake in your bread maker is to be precise in your measurements.

Some love the mess of rolling out dough on the surfaces covered with flour, but others prefer a cleaner way of bread making. Bread makers do offer a cleaner way of baking - which may save time and effort with washing up bowls and flour dust.

    Method

    1. Step 1

Put the ingredients (except the olives) into the bread maker baking pan in the order specified for your particular model (see manufacturer’s handbook). Set to dough setting. Add the olives at the time for added ingredients as directed by the manufacturer of your machine.

    2. Step 2

Remove the dough from the machine and knead until smooth.

    3. Step 3

Shape the dough into 2 round loaves.

    4. Step 4

Place onto a greased baking sheet cover and leave to prove until double in size.

    5. Step 5

Made this by hand, added sundried tomatoes and roasted red peppers, makes a beautiful tasting bread. Really moist

    Love this?

I made this recipe but did so by hand/ using my kitchen aid and it came out really well. One review said to reduce salt, but I actually found mine still could have taken the full amount. Personal preference! I also accidentally added my olives before the first rise and it still worked fine. Rather than drying the olives, I rolled them in flour first so they were easier to combine. I cooked as one large loaf for 4o minutes. Happy Baking!
