About the bake
Cosying up with a warm bowl of humble crumble and a generous drizzle of custard is one of the finer things in life. Whether yours is served with ice cream, fresh cream or vanilla custard, we're yet to find a baker who doesn't love diving into a cosy crumble with their spoon on a drizzly day.
We add Billington's Golden Caster Sugar to our apple filling for the caramelly, glossy texture you'd expect from an ultimate apple crumble filling. Oh, and don't stop there with your Billington's sugar - use Billington's Unrefined Demerara Sugar in your crumble topping for a rich, crunchy finish. Just you wait to see the golden browned top glistening when you reveal this hearty bake from your oven.
It's got to be be a vanillary, silky custard with our crumble. So if you want to experience a match made in heaven give our Vanilla Custard a whirl - you'll struggle to settle for shop-bought again (it's that good!).
