No baking required. This Chocolate Peanut Butter Square recipe brings all the childhood nostalgia and a whole load of 'mmmmmm' 

What could be simpler and more delicious than chocolate, Peanut Butter Proper Nutty, Truvia, honey and oats? Quick to make and even quicker to gobble up. The perfect lunchbox treat.

As an alternative, top the squares with melted white chocolate.

Method

  1. Step 1:

    Line a 20cm square tin with baking parchment.

  2. Step 2:

    Place the peanut butter, honey and Truvia into a microwavable bowl and heat on a medium power for about a minute, heating in 20 second increments whisking at regular intervals, until melted.

  3. Step 3:

    Add in the oats, stir and fold through until combined.  Place the mixture into the prepared tin using a spatula to gently press the mixture down. Set aside to cool.

  4. Step 4:

    To make the chocolate layer, melt the chocolate chips and the peanut butter in a microwavable bowl, heating for a minute on a medium heat, in 20 second increments, until the chocolate is melted. Stir until smooth.

  5. Step 5:

    Pour the chocolate topping over the cooled oat mixture in an even layer. Pop the tin into the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until firm. Remove the tin from the freezer and allow to defrost slightly before cutting into 16 squares using a sharp knife warmed in boiling water.

    Storage

    Store in an airtight container and consume within 3 days.

    • 250g Proper Nutty peanut butter
    • 100g Honey
    • 25g Truvia for Baking - Brown
    • 175g Rolled oats
  • For the Topping

    • 100g Dark chocolate chips
    • 70g Proper Nutty peanut butter
